Black & Gold Glitter nails

2015 is just a few days away & what better way to ring in the new year than with a festive mani, that will go perfect with that LBD (little black dress) or sparkly mini dress you plan on wearing. You can never go wrong with bold nails & a touch of sparkle.


Here is a quick & easy Black & Gold Glitter NYE mani you can do at home.

For this look I used 4 nail products - a base & top coat by Ulta, black nail lacquer by MAC & gold glitter nail lacquer by Butter London.

Follow the steps below to recreate this simple NYE manicure:

STEP 1- apply a base coat. I always use a base coat especially before applying darker colors. A base coat will help prevent discoloration on your nails as well as smoothe your nail appearance. You can use any base coat, for this look I used one by ULTA's professional collection ($6)

STEP 2 - apply 2 coats of black polish. I used a cream finish lacquer in Nocturnelle by MAC Cosmetics ($12) Allow the black polish to dry before going on to next step.

STEP 3 - apply a thin layer of your glitter polish starting from the mid section of your nail to the tip. Add a 2nd (or 3rd) coat to just the tip of your nail to create a gradient glitter look. For the gold glitter I used West End Wonderland by Butter London ($15)

STEP 4 - finish off with your favorite top coat!
