Marsala

Pantone has recently announced 2015's color of the year — Marsala (18-1438)


As 2014 comes to end we can say farewell to 'Radiant Orchid' & Hello to 'Marsala' - a naturally robust & earthy wine red.  

Although the name 'Marsala' makes you wanna head straight to the kitchen, the wine-like color is actually well known in the beauty department. Truth be told, some of my favorite lipsticks for this time of year fall into the 'Marsala' hue. The best way for me to describe this color swatch is a mixture of red wine, chocolate & berries. Basically, burgundy-ish. 
Marsala is a versatile color. This earthy shade is appealing to women's & men's fashion, home goods, an accent color to a wedding theme, makeup, etc. Marsala looks great on a variety of skin tones & translates well into wearable makeup products for the nails, eyes, cheeks & lips.
