There's nothing more annoying than a clogged bathroom drain. When it comes down to what's clogging the drain, HAIR is usually the main culprit. And OMG! do I have a ton of it. If you have a ton of hair or live with someone who does, then you are aware of the constant battle on keeping the drains clear. I love having long hair, but the post-shower results is probably the worst. After I had a baby, I noticed my hair started to shed more than normal. My hair would constantly clog the drains & instead of calling a plumber, I resorted to using Drano. Although Drano occasionally does the trick, it can be quite expensive. I decided to try something with less chemicals & in a way "save" some money, so I did DIY remedies - like a wired hanger (this did NOT work for me) & baking soda + vinegar. They were all temporary fixes that were being pushed down the drain.
I feel like I tried everything, except call the plumber. Calling the plumber was going to be my LAST resort. Then one day while I was cruising the aisles at Home Depot (to pick up MORE Drano), I came across a product called "Zip-It Bath and Sink Hair Snare". I was really intrigued so I looked up more info on my phone & according to the reviews, it was a miracle worker. For less than $3, I figured I give it a try. The directions are pretty simple, you just stick it into your tub/sink hole & wiggle it down to get it through. Once you've wiggled it a few times, gently pull it out & DONE! You'll be surprised what kind of gunk comes out with it! I repeated the steps about 3x until I felt nothing else was coming out. The results are instant, it's crazy! I was amazed by how much hair and gunk was stuck in the drain. This truly is a miracle worker. I found this little tool to be so effective, I just had to share it with my readers. Honestly, it beat any bottle of Drano. I purchased it at my local Home Depot for less than $3. That price can't be beat. I definitely recommend this product before you try Drano or before calling a plumber. You will be surprised how this little plastic thing can help clear your drains & save $$$ in your wallet. Let me know in the comments below if you've tried this product & if it's worked for you! Xo.
